Kingdom Of Light

Exile

Exile

A land of hearsay and nightmares, the flaming Exile land’s existence is as believable as the edge of the world. Dogma has it as the land where the exiled Angel Ahriman resides in imprisonment, forever pondering the philosophical disputes that led his alter self Lucifer to separate the two aspects. Lucifer’s infinite kindness allowed Ahriman the company of his ancient nemesis Marduk, on whom the Exile can exact revenge for all eternity.

Jerusalem

Jerusalem

The capital of the Light Bringer’s dominion, Jerusalem is the most prosperous of the Theocracy’s cities. It was the first city and all of the others follow its city planning model.

Jerusalem is divided in two sections, the inner and the outer city. The great wall guards the inner city and the highborn citizens within it from the common masses outside. The central ring is graced by Lucifer’s light. Every day for twelve hours the life giving pillar of light falls upon the inner walled section, blessing it as the sole fertile location. In its very center a marvel of the Church’s expertise stands as a symbol of life’s veneration, the Lifescraper. This construct is the single source of nourishment for the Light Bringer’s flock and the Church’s cautious management works hard to keep a balance before depletion leads to mass starvation.

The Avatar’s Watchtower is the personal residence of Lucifer’s emissary to mankind. It rises vigilant inside the wall gazing over the outer city and the Wasteland of Nod beyond.

Outside the walls the masses reside, under the protection of the Aeonian watchers.

Sodom

Sodom

The largest city of Pentapolis, Sodom carries the same curse like its four sister cities. For more than two centuries the Pillar of Light no longer graces the central inner city, yet follows a one mile trail outside the wall, commonly known as the “Lit Mile”. It remains unknown how exactly Lucifer’s clergy has sinned so as to have brought such punishment upon the city, yet His judgment was final and irrevocable. The once rich central ring is now a Nekropolis, remaining in eternal night, where the dilapidated villas of the once highborn society are homes to the Aeonian lords that keep the Theocracy’s law.

The Lit Mile is the only fertile land where the people may reside and carve a living. Yet such finite land requires great strength to retain. Thus Sodom is no home for the weak, and those who dare tread its streets do so with reasonable fright for its predators. Yet most seek shelter from a greater terror which thankfully has no presence in Pentapolis… the Inquisition.

Wasteland of Nod

Wasteland of Nod

In Lucifer's Theocracy only a tiny percentage of land has proven inhabitable-- the Cities of the Church. The rest of the world --the Wasteland of Nod-- is no man's land... Only the oldest of the Aeonians may endure the harsh climate and a rare few caravans dare traverse the inhospitable deserts. Yet the promise of Lucifer's generosity urges many to make the perilous journey to Jerusalem, where the Celebration of Hope marks each year's ending and offers the common people the single chance to transcend above their lowly status. Of the many who share this dream, few survive the Wasteland's unforgivingness...

Zoara

One of the five cities of Pentapolis, Zoara is a part of the Theocracy under the watch of the Aeonians. The Inquisition is absent, thus leaving space for powerful entities to exist and prosper…
